Studies for Nothing

Sandoval, explains Estudios para la nada (Studies for Nothing),”Thinking that our economic systems are based on work and on maximum efficiency and speed, which aim to produce a product which can be used in a monetary exchange, where there is the dedication of a worker’s life time in the creation of said product.  I have thought about turning the tables of the idea of minimum effort for maximum gain, a phrase which summarizes the driving philosophy behind the modern enterprise, to propose a series of exercises which demand great concentration and physical stamina, which will result in ends in themselves.  Whereby the physical activity and detailed research involved in their undertaking imitates scientific research but will not pretend to prove a hypothesis.  The result will be the documenting of said exercises with no aim other than to serve as evidence of what happened.”
